چکیده

Intercropping is a sustainable agroecological tool known to provide multiple benefits farmers. Several studies have shown that arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) play key role for the improved grain yields in intercropping systems through facilitative nutrient and water uptake via common network (CMN), yet little on rate of hyphal spread. Here we hypothesized AMF species differ extraradical hyphae spread from one plant another, thereby affecting growth intercropped plants. To test our hypothesis, established experimental microcosms greenhouse, which pigeon pea (Cajanus cajan) two finger millet (Eleusine coracana) plantlets were kept separate pots, connected by soil bridges 5 or 12 cm length, inaccessible roots but accessible fungal hyphae. The plants pre-inoculated with Claroideoglomus etunicatum, Rhizophagus fasciculatus irregularis. All three led strong promotion compared uninoculated control short more than doubled biomass pea. as well phosphorus content millets differed length bridge AMF. By applying 15N isotopes pots revealed both lengths R. C. etunicatum transported nitrogen across distances up irregularis did not. Furthermore, destructive sampling, estimated 4.1 mm d−1 bridge. We conclude row distance between crops choice crucial application biofertilizer.

Effects of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi on Growth and Nutrient Uptake of Apple Rootstocks in Calcareous Soil

The effects of three Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF) species (Glomus versiforme, Claroideoglomus etunicatum and Rhizophagus intraradices) were studied on the growth parameters and nutrient uptake of three apple rootstocks (M.9, M.7 and MM.106). The soil medium contained a high level of calcium carbonate (38.65%). The results showed that AMF inoculation could increase almost all growth parame...

Contributions of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi to Growth, Biomass and Nutrient Status of Pistachio Seedlings under Saline Conditions

Excessive salt accumulation in soil is a major ecological and agronomical problem, especially in arid and semiarid areas. Excessive soil salinity affects the establishment, development and growth of plants, resulting in major losses of production. A pot experiment was set up to examine the effects of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus (Glomus etunicatum and Glomus versiforme) and salinity on the gro...

contribution of setting to the study of characters and the main idea in e. brontes: wuthering heights and t. hardys: return of the native.

this thesis aims to adduce an unmitigated and comprehensive explication concerning the relationship of three significant elements of fiction: setting, chracter and theme. my research is basically placed on two outstanding novels of the 19th century: emily brontes wuthering heights and thomas hardys return of the native. my endeavour lies in studying the correlation among the three above-mention...
